Mark played a pivotal role in the development of Canadian Paralympic Sledge Hockey programs.
He spent four years as an assistant coach on the squad that won Paralympic gold in 2006.
He served as Hockey Canada’s Para Ice Coordinator from 2006-08 and was head coach of the Men’s Sledgehammers, which captured Ontario Games gold in 2013. Mark was also a referee at the 2002 Paralympics.
He began his officiating career in the Nepean Minor Hockey Association in 1977, earning Hockey Canada’s Level 6 status in 1997.
He served as a referee for Junior A, Junior B, Junior C, CIS university games, and the NHL’s Ottawa Senators team training camps.
He was Hockey Eastern Ontario’s referee in chief from 1997-2005.
