Kayla Maduk

Kayla Maduk, born and raised in Nepean, took the taekwon-do world by storm between 2011 and 2015.

At the March 2011, ITF Taekwon-Do Junior and Senior World Championships, Maduk captured a gold medal in patterns and a silver medal in sparring. She also won a team silver medal in power breaking.

At the October 2013 ITF championships in Spain, Maduk also won gold in both patterns and a silver in the team power breaking event.

In May 2013, Maduk won bronze in patterns.

In addition to her impressive success on the international Taekwon-Do stage, Maduk also made her mark in a variety of sports in Nepean and Ottawa, including playing at the all-star level in both soccer and basketball. Throughout her years of competition, Maduk inspired the next generation through her "Believe" program, encouraging kids to dream big, be kind and to be themselves.
