Henry McKay, who began his career out of the Nepean Ottawa Diving Club as a six-year-old, was a force in national and international competition for a decade.

His endless accomplishments include being named Diving Canada’s outstanding junior diver in 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2017.

At the 2013 Junior Nationals in the 12-13 age group, McKay won three medals: gold in the IM and 3M events, along with a bronze in the platform competition.

In 2017, McKay won gold at the Canada Summer Games. At the 2018 Canadian junior championships, he claimed gold in the 3 Metre team event (alongside Victor Povzner) and a silver in both the 1M and 3M individual competition.

At the 2018 World Juniors, McKay and Povzner won the 3M synchro gold.

In the 2018 senior winter nationals, McKay won bronze in the 1M individual and teamed up with Povzner to take silver in the 3M synchro competition. In the senior summer nationals in 2018, McKay took home both a gold (in the 1M) and a bronze (3M).

McKay and Povzner returned to the podium at the 2019 winter senior nationals, winning a silver in the 3M synchro.

Henry returned to Ottawa during the pandemic and was able to give back as an assistant coach to the Nepean Ottawa Diving Club team before returning to school.
