Gord Hunter

Gord was a Canadian Elite Champion in 1972, 1973 and 1974, Canadian Master Champion in 1985, 1986 and 1987. He was also a four-time North American silver medalist and along with one bronze.

Active in Canadian orienteering since the late 1960s, including Canada's first international event in 1976, the O'Ring Quebec 5-Day. He was a founding member of Ottawa Orienteering Club in 1969 and was a member of the Board of Directors of the Ottawa Orienteering Club, Orienteering Quebec, and Orienteering Canada. He is one of very few Canadians to be a member of the International Orienteering Federation Council.
