Faazil Kassam

Faazil teamed up with Bence Csba to win bronze at the 2003 world junior table tennis championship and the 2004 Canadian men's doubles title. As an undergraduate student at the University of Ottawa, Faazil represented Canada at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece. That same year, he was silver medalist in men’s singles at the US Open and took home bronze in the Brazil Under-21 Championships. As a 20-year-old, Faazil won silver in both singles and doubles at the 2005 DONIC North American Table Tennis Championships. He then went on to complete his MD at the University of Toronto medical school and then his five-year medical and surgery residency training at the University of Calgary in Ophthalmology.
